Hello There!

I was just wondering if there was a specifice group/community for New Jersey Adoptive Parents that I could possibly join?

My husband and I are getting ready for our homestudy.. the final stretch and I was hoping there was a place to go to share stories, get some advice, etc.

tammy, wondering if you found any support groups in your area? we live in hunterdon county and i'm trying to find a group in my area. we are in the process of adopting our son from russia. thanks for your help.

There are a group of people that get together informally that met through the Russian board. We have group get togethers twice a year and more informal get togethers at times throughout the year. For example we are having a mother's night out in a couple of weeks.

We came together through our Russian adoption processes, but we really don't care about being Russian specific.

We are spread throughout the state and we try to have get togethers in different locations so that different people travel at different times.

There are a number of pre and post adoption support groups through Concerned Persons for Adoption, NJARCH, and the Adoptive Parents Committee throughout New Jersey. Good luck to you.
