Hi all,

An agency we spoke with offers adoptive parents the opportunity to advertise on their own. We would be able to use the agency's 800 number for birthmother's to call in. Are there any legal issues in New Jersey we should know about by using the agency's 800 number instead of setting up our own? I know that attornies can't set up an 800 number, but can we use one the agency provides?

Our agency also provides an 800 number for us to use. We haven't yet taken advantage of it, but I'd like to know the legalities of it also. I think it would be fine since our agency has been doing this for quite some time and I know that they've had couples get responses from their 800 #.

I also remember reading that you were interested in forming some sort of support group. Is that still in the plans? I'd love to be a part of it. I'm in central Jersey (near Bridgewater) and would consider traveling a bit if necessary.

As far as the support group, there's nothing definite yet. If you're planning to attend the APC conference at Ramapo College, my wife and I are meeting with two other couples interested in a support group in the morning before the conference.
