Does anyone know how to go about getting a hold of the NJ Birth Index. Is it even available to the public in the State of NJ? i'm specifically looking for 1969.

She was born 7/20/63 in Newton, NJ
Surrender of custody was signed 14 Oct 63 at the Morris County Courthouse, Morristown Nj
Things were handled by DYFS
We think the final hearing on 14 Feb 64 with Judge Polow.
Birth name was Faith(e) Lynn Haggerty
Not sure now, she was adopted by
John and Arden(sp?)Hennessey
from Sterling,NJ We think they had a daughter
named Mary Ellen Hennessey
Godparents were John J Theirom(SP?)
We would love to see her, she has
3 birth brothers, and1 sisters and another sister, we can't find! Her name is Ruth Mary(DOB 7/24/54
There are nephews, nieces who would love to meet their "Aunt"

i live in the next town from stirling and have friends who live there. most people who live there own their own homes...try looking them up on the tax records at njactb.org. stirling is part of long hill township so you would have to chose long hill as the town as opposed to striling. good luck.
