Does anyone know what happened to the old group, ALMA (Adoptees Liberation Movement Association). I have tried to contact them and the letter came back, and I don't find anything on the web relating to them. They had wonderful resources--records, etc.--that would be helpful to all of us. Maybe because of all the searching on the web, they quit operating. Ask around, see if you can find anyone who knows anything, and let us all know. I will do the same.

ALMA
Hello Peggy,
I was wondering the same thing - I used them in the early 90's when I did my search - I still have the original booklet that I recieved from them, but havent been able to figure out where they went to. If there is something in the booklet that you need, just let me know. P.S. I just noticed we are both from CA - maybe they only existed on the west coast ? |

ALMA
Hi tsbahrs,
I did finally find Alma. I don't know why it didn't come up when I did a search on Google, I usually have good success with it. It's the ALMA Society, and by putting in ALMA I should have gotten a hit. Anyway, someone else contacted me with the correct link. It's http://www.almasociety.org/ They charge $60.00 for lifetime membership and they are really helpful. They moved their address from New York to New Jersey.
