Somewhere in New Jersey!!
This is all new to me, I never felt like I belonged. I'm 38, got married at 21 -stayed married for 17 yrs. Just got divorced, 3 yr old daughter, 8 yr old son. It's rough, we have no family. The family I thought was mine 'kind of thought but knew somehow they weren't' were all much older and have all passed on. When I was 20 my 'Dad' passed away and my 'Mom' needed her ex husband contacted for SS purposes. He couldn't understand who I was, and finally after telling him 20 times he said' oh the little girl they adopted. I was gleeful. I KNEW I DIDN"T BELONG. Don't get me wrong, I am grateful for being given to a family, God knows wht could of happened. Heres my need:
My Birth Cert has the father who raised me listed, this way I could be given the name legally and raised by him. I was born in Cooper Hospital Camden /Glouster NJ on August 27 1965. My birth mother was 24 at the time , makes her about 62 today. Her name was Elizabeth Cheeseman (her name was listed on the birth cert). I was raised my Eddie and Betty Mckay, moved to FL about 1969-1971. Apparently Elizabeth (probably goes by Betty) still lives in the area, spoke to some older siblings b4 they passed & they said she still hangs out ay local pubs. I have 2 brothers that were 'given' away before me. I would have done something about this sooner, but that """wonderful""" husband I had for 17 years thought it was USELESS. Glad I got rid of him. I know this is long & I really appreciate any help . Thanks for reading my story. Funny thing is I talk as much as I write.

don't get excited...
I don't have any info.
I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed reading your story. I can't really say why. Maybe it's because you're OK with being adopted. I wish you the best my friend. Never give up. Hugs, Christina |

I'm a birth mother
searching for my daughter.
I just "checked you out" and found out that you're newer to these forums than I am. Anytime you want to know more about someone, just go to the "profile" button on the bottom left side of the thread and click on it. Very informative. Really a neat system. Love, light and hugs, Christina |

Hello DianeSV... i live in Camden County. I was reading your post, and out of curiousity picked up the Camden County phonebook. There are quite a few Cheeseman's listed in the area, including two E's and a Betty. Did you try www.whitepages.com? I can email the numbers to you if you'd like. Good luck!

Janet,
I would really appreciate that. If it's not asking too much, could you look for a George Bowe also. Thanks so much. Daine

Thanks for reading my story, I see you are very young. Do you know of any relatives named Betty or Elizabeth that would be about 63 yrs old??

Hey- My uncle is the cheeseman in the family and he has several Aunts that are in their 60's. Can you give me any information that I can ask him? He is kinda old fashioned and he might think I'm crazy if I start asking him these things with a lot of info to tell him. Thanks

I KNOW SHE LOOKS LIKE ME (I HAVE AN AUNT WHO VISITED NJ WHEN I WAS ABOUT 15 THAT WOULD HAVE MADE ELIZABETH ABOUT 39-40. I AM TOLD I LOOK LIKE SALLY FIELD. I AM 5'3", WEIGHT DOESN'T MATTER. I HAVE BROWN HAIR AND EYES. AND CHUBBY CHEEKS WHICH I HAVE HAD MY WHOLE LIFE. MY AUNT WHO GAVE ME THIS INFO PASSED AWAY BEFORE I REALLY STARTED LOOKING. I HAVE TO LEAVE THE OFFICE, I'LL TALK TO YOU SOON. THANKS DIANE

I'm going to ask my Aunt tomorrow about my Uncle but when I asked my mom she knew that my Uncle had an Aunt Betty. I think she still lived or lives in the area near my Uncle & she was or is still in her 60's but now I'm really excited b/c maybe we could have a connection. I don't wanna get my hopes too far up though. Hope to help- jen

He did say there were several in Cheesemans that lived in Camden COunty. Sorry for the late response. - JEN
