Donaldson Adoption Institute with U.S. Representative William Delahunt of Massachusetts for National Adoption Awareness Month When: Tuesday, November 28, admission free Food and refreshments 5:30, program 6:30-8:30 p.m. Where: Smith Hall, JFK Presidential Library and Museum in Boston Who: Leading experts in adoption and foster care, including: · Adam Pertman, Executive Director of the Adoption Institute and author of "Adoption Nation: How the Adoption Revolution is Transforming America." · Dr. David Brodzinsky, Research and Project Director of the Adoption Institute and co-author of "Being Adopted: The Lifelong Search for Self." · Hollee McGinnis, Policy and Operations Director of the Adoption Institute and founder of the adoptee-education organization Also-Known-As. · Dr. Ellen Pinderhughes, Senior Research Fellow of the Adoption Institute and Chair of the Eliot-Pearson Department of Child Development at Tufts University. Why: To provide research, information and lively discussion for professionals, pre-adoptive parents, birth parents, adopted people, adoptive parents, policy-makers and anyone who wants to learn more about a phenomenon that affects millions of lives every day.
