Hey All!!!

I am a former NY'er now transplanted in CT. DH commutes to NYC for work but we love living in CT.

We have an almost 2yo son who was placed with us at one day old. We are hoping to begin our adoption journey for another baby this year! We need to look into a new agency, though, since our DS's agency fees have gone WAY WAY up and there is no way we can swing it.

We recently moved to NH from MA.

We're in southern NH with four bios and one domestically adopted 14 month old sweetie.

We're also considering foster care, possibly foster to adopt in the future.

Hi there...DH and I live west of Boston and have a 16-month old DS we adopted from Russia in September. Also have a bio 5 year old DD. It'll be great to chat with more New Englanders!

Hi there fellow NE's. Just found this forum from the Guat adoption forum. Hope we can keep it up!

DH and I live in RI but have lived in Boston and Portland, ME so we are definatley New Englanders!

We are currently waiting for our 171-H form to be approved so that we can then hurry up and wait for our referral.

We had TTC for 3 years before deciding to adopt. We've been through many failed IUI's and 2 failed IVF's.

I've heard rumors that there are adoption support groups in some NE areas. Anyone familiar with any?

Thanks Maura - I PM'd you back but not sure if it worked. Anyway - I checked out the ODS/ACONE web site and found it very interesting. Especially the upcoming conference they are having in April. It looks like they will have lots of good lectures on interesting adoption topics. I think I'm going to call tomorrow to join and possibly attend the conference.

Wow, am I impressed with all the action the NE Forum has seen this weekend. Hopefully, we can keep it up and remain a source of support for members from all six states (even the transplanted New Englanders).

I'm glad to hear that so many people may attend the ODS conference. Maybe we could all meet up. We missed last year's but my wife attended the previous two. She came back with a lot of information especially regarding transracial adoption.

I'm still in mourning over the Pats game. Can you imagine that we'd be hosting the AFC championship game? All I can say at this point is GO Steelers!

I'm a transplanted New Englander. Can I join? I grew up south of Worcester in a one of those tiny towns. DH and lived in Westminster for many years before moving South. My brother (also said as brutha) lives on the South Shore, sister lives in the sticks.. older daughter in school at BU.. oh yes, I am a New England gal.
I have daughter who turns two in March domestic adoption in TN>

I can't believe what the Pats did this weekend ugh.. so disappointing.
