I was just curious, if anyone knows the names
of the hospitals in Fredericton, NB... I believe there is only one, but not sure of the name. I'd appreciate any help...

If you're looking for the names of them now, you could probably find them in the phone book.
Good luck in your search. I love Fredericton! I'm from NS, but moved to ON about 3 years ago. Meghan ![]() |

Would you by any chance know if they give out any birth
information to adoptees? It would be nice to go back to the beginning... to find out things regarding the delivery, time, weight, mother's condition, etc. There must be some way of finding out some of these details through some organization, besides the small info. given through the agencies. Thanks Again for your help.

Hi again!
I'm afraid I don't know what they would/could give out for information. You could try placing an ad in the Daily Gleaner or the Telegraph Journal.

Hospitals in Fredericton
There is one hospital in Fredericton at the present time, it is the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital, it has been open for about 28 years or so. Before that the one hospital was the Victoria Public Hospital. If you were born longer than 28 years or so ago in Fredericton you would have been born at VPH. All records would have been transfered form VPH to DECH. I do not believe that they give out any information but you can always try. Have you registered with Post Adoptive Services Prov Of NB?

Thanks for you help...
I have tried contacting the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital by
email, but with no reply. I'll wait a few more weeks, and then I'll call. I appreciate the info. regarding the older hospital. You'd think that hospitals would at least indulge the smaller info. without identifying the parent/s. Anyway, I keep on searching in hopes of finding a family member. I already have my non-identifying info., but not as much as I'd like. Plus I'm on the contact list and active search with the NB Adoption Agency. As far as I'm told, I could be waiting years before they get around to my file with the active search. Hmm, sad, but I must keep an open mind and stay positive. I wish everyone good luck in their searches. Thanks for everyone's help. : ) P/L
