Tenth Year Anniversary of Search
1955 was a simpler time. People were straight up about their responsibilities and much less afraid of what unknown trouble could be brought on by a stranger, or someone who needed something from a stranger. As I approach the twilight of my life, I consider it one of life's greatest disappointments to have never been permitted the chance to see my mother. I do not want her money. I do not want to upset the secret she has harbored for most of her life. I don't even want to have an ongoing relationship with her. The couple that adopted me and my sister wanted to have children in their lives more than anything else but were unable to conceive their own. They loved me as if I were their blood, and they knew they could count on me when they could no longer take care of themselves. God Bless them.
