Karyl Mahan - Gave Birth to a Boy on 8/6/80 in Omaha - Where are you?
25 y.o. adoptee searching for birth mother. I finally learned her name, Karyl Mahan.

If ANYONE knows any Mahans in or around Omaha, or could take the time to look in the local phone book for me, please PM me.

I'm getting so close , yet am still so far away . Thank you.

go to zabasearch.com and start making phone calls. There are many of them with that last name. If you know her appoximate age there are some with a different last name. Good luck and let me know how it turns out. juliekathy2004@yahoo.com

Ummm... how? <ring ring> Um, hi. My name is John and I'm searching for my birth mother.

Sorry, I can't do that. I don't do well calling random people, plus I have tried it already. This was of course about 2 years ago , but I just don't have the spirit. I've littered her name all over the Internet. If she's interested, all she has to do is a google search on her name and she can find me. The spelling is so unique.

I tried to do all I could think of on ancestry.com to try to find her or a current name for her. The only one I could find would have been about 12 when you were born and she was born in California so I doubt it's here and there's nothing other than a birth record for her. Nebraska doesn't have an online birth records search or marriage records so I'm sorry to say that I came up empty

Don't give up (and I'm glad to see that you haven't!). It took me 6 years to find my friend's birthfamily. Come to find out that his siblings weren't told about him until late 2003, the bmother had never told anyone except for her husband and never tried to search. As soon as his siblings found out, they started getting on the internet to learn how to search. Finally, in early 2004, they found this site and within minutes they found my post and the rest has been wonderful history.

You just never know when the process will pay off, but it can't if you give up, so hang in there and know that we are all here to support you if you ever need a boost to keep ya going!
