Online Encyclopedia
Encyclopedias are indepth reference works that contain articles on various topics - and the online Encyclopedia of Adoption contains articles on just about everything connected to adoption... it's online in its entirety, exclusively at http://Encyclopedia.Adoption.com.
The articles provide both evolving social and political information, as well as historical perspectives on important issues such as child welfare, legislative efforts, and trends in adoption practice. The authors represent a mix of attitudes and views - from the conservative (late) Dr. William L. Pierce to the more progressive Christine Adamec, and there's something of interest for advocates of divergent positions on many hot issues. Reminder: The encyclopedia was written in 2000, and like everything else, some practices and laws have changed since that time. To read more on each topic, click on the "find more information" link at the bottom of each page. The Encyclopedia of Adoption is not available anywhere else online, and it is freely accessible to all. It is a great resource for students, professionals, and members of the adoption community. We encourage you to visit it, bookmark pages of interest, and link to it. http://Encyclopedia.Adoption.com
