First, I'd like to thank my birth mother for making the choice to give me up for adoption. My adoptive family has been the best gift you could have given to me.

I'm just curious...why?

I'm creeping up on 40 now, and although I'd never change the fact that I grew up with my adoptive family, I'm curious as to why I was given up. Do I have any brothers or sisters? Did my birth parents stay together or seperate after my birth.

Please...if you know me from my birthdate, gave up a little boy to adoption and have answers...I'd like to hear them.

I'm not expecting to find another family, and quite honestly I don't want to. I'm curious about my genetic past, if there are others who look like me and/or share some of my traits, what my parents look like and many other things.

Help me know who I am.

lonelycelt - I am just beginning my search in Montana also. Do you know if you were adopted thru the state or an agency like Catholic Charities or Lutheran Social Services? In Montana in order to get your records unsealed you have to contact the agency or state (Vital records there in Helena) and request a Confidential Intermediary(CI) to have your records unsealed. Also ask for all Non Identifying information, this will usually tell your birthparents ages, occupation, religious background ect. - Julie
