Dr. Armstrong

I am from Columbia Falls, MT (near Kalispell) Dr. Armstrong is still in practice in Kalispell! You might try contacting his office. He has been around for a long long time! Have you sent for your unidentifying adoption information from the agency that handled your adoption?? You might find more information than you think. I learned so much when I got mine today!

hello -

WoW.........you received it today? That's awesome!!! What did it contain.....what did you learn that you didn't have before?

No, I have not done any of the ideas that you have suggested.....I'm just getting started, but trust me I will!!!

I am curious.....what did you find out new, versus what you knew before....ie: parents, birth certificate, ect.......

Good for you.....I truly all works out for you!!
God Bless you and your path........

Smile Non identifying information

Hello Brent!

Well here is what I received for non identifying information. My biological mother was involved heavily with Department of Public Welfare (so it was called at the time), so they sent me the social study done on her. It contained: Immediate Problem, Family Background, Chronological History, Birth History, developmental history, School history, Later social history, and plans and recommendations. This was done because she was placed in fostercare in high school. They whited out all the names of school, and counties etc. but I did get first names. and the fact she has a n older brother named Glen and a mother named Annie. I also recieved the count DFW Newborn record. With all the birth statics as well as admission date to the hospital (which could pan out to be something) Then there was also the adoptive social study. Information concerning my parents statistics: Height weight description etc. BUT it also contained a court hearing date! (which also might prove to be fruitful)

Were you given up for adoption or abandoned at birth? I would strongly encourage you to request non identifyable information. Contact the agency who handled your adoption and request it. Mine took a little over a week to get from Helena.

Good luck! And God Bless you in your quest!

Brandy

Exclamation

btw....Before I only knew the standard statistics....height weight religion education........I didnt really KNOW anything of value. My adopted parents sure wish they had this information when I was growing up! Cuz I wasnt an easy one to raise either. I read her (bmother) social study and its very much like my own...minus foster care! I can definately see myself and my children thru these papers....and frankly I am ecstatic as I have NEVER had anything of a history and this is just a taste of the real history I have and why I am the way I am......I would call it: AN UNDERSTANDING of some sort.

Night night!
God Bless
Brandy

Brandy.........

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you..........so much great information.

The only thing that you should have seen in those papers of yours, was that in fact you DO have a big heart!!

To take the time to help me and everyone else here is HUGE and does make a difference.

I really appreciate the words and education you've provided. I will let you know the outcome. Heading out of state for a week, so it will have to wait until my return........but heck ....1 week. WoW!!

Take care Brandy - God Bless YOU!!

Montana Adoption

All you need to do is write to the:

State of Montana
Department of Health and Environmental Sciences
Bureau of Records and Statistics
Cogswell Building
Helena, MT 59620

Let them know you would like the information to obtain a copy of your original Birth Certificate for medical purposes. (I have done it all, and it is the easiest way).

They will send you all the neccessary paperwork to fill out, and you return it. The fees are minimal and you just need to notarize your information before you submitt it.

Good Luck!

April
