Seekfirstthekingdom: How is your 6 yo doing?

How are things going with your 6 yo? Do you still have her or did she move on to somewhere else? How about the others??

she is still here, I wont have her moved until absolutely necessary, she had a "melt down" the other night, it lasted about an hour.

My living room is off limits for toys, they have lots and lots of toys in thier room and that is where they play, so they were in the living room jumping, running, bumping my things over, I asked them to please stop and watch cartoons or go to their room and play.
I finally turned off the t.v. and told them the only choice they had now was going to their room to play. well..it made her MAD and she started screaming at me, so I told her that now she had another choice, either go to her room and play or go to the corner, she refused both, so i tryed to make her stand inthe corner...didnt work....screaming escalated....so I got her p.j.s and told her she was going to bed...(I was cooking dinner) she screamed more about going to bed without dinner, I replied that she had NEVER went to bed without dinner BUT she was getting a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a glass of milk. once she realized that I was serious and that I wasnt going to back down, and that I could outlast her if need be then she finally calmed down and went to bed and fell asleep quickly..it was only 7:00 as quick as she fell asleep I assumed that here fit was due to her being tired?????not sure...

Any way thank you for asking, it is nice to know that someone cares..
