We are in St. Louis. We are new foster parents (3 months into first placement) and have kids from a different agency than who we are liscensed through. Makes it a little confusing!

we have had our nephew for 14 1/2 months and we got our liscense to prove we wanted to take care of him we are totally confused right now last month at the meeting they told BIL they couldnt place the baby with him because of the founded case of sexual abuse but this month they set up homevisits with this monster.

That doesn't make any sense. Have you come right out and asked the cw what it is all about? What is the plan RU or TPR?

We accepted our first placement of 3, 5, and 6 yr old sisters in Oct. By Nov. we had to move the 6 yr. old to a residential facility and still have the younger two. They have yet to receive any therapy!!!!!

I am in the St. Louis area and have been waiting 2 years for our first placement. We decided to adopt from Guatemala because we are tired of waiting for placement and want children in our home. Although the wait was long for us through the state, it brought us to our DS. That we are thankful for, but wish we would get a call for a foster placement too.

Wow, 2 years that is forever and you are in St Louis?
I just assumed that since St Louis was so big that you would be getting lots of calls..

I am beginning to wonder if they are ever going to call me again..my bio kids are 15-15 and 17 my 17 yr old is leaving next Monday for boot camp for the Marines, I was hoping that my house would be full so the time would pass faster while he is away....

Heres hoping all of our homes fill up fast...

We were only 1 month from being liscensed when we got our first call, but were open to taking sibiling groups. Almost 4 months, in we just let our agency know that we are ready to be in the mix for more. Our tough placement is under control. We are hoping for little ones this time!!!!! I definetly thought that we would be getting more calls than we have.

not a single call here---we also are willing to take sibling groups and any race or gender. I think was is holding us back is our age restrictions 0-5.
