[Rhapsody]

I'm a student at Maple Woods Community College and in one of my classes I am working on a term paper about a social problem in America. I have always wanted to be a foster parent some day, and so I've chosen to write my paper on some of the issues related to the current foster care system. As part of this, I need to find an organization, or someone whose work relates to the foster care system, and interview them.

But I'm having trouble tracking down a viable interviewee who is located in or around Kansas City Missouri. If possible, I was hoping someone through these forums might be able to point me in the right direction - perhaps provide some local people or organizations that I might be able to contact. I really appreciate it greatly and look forward to hearing from anyone who can help!

By the way.. I am really glad I stumbled across this website, because I have already seen quite a few discussions about things that I always felt weren't quite right about the way foster care works in this country. I'm glad it's not just me who feels that way - overcoming those flaws in the system are part of why I plan to become a foster parent someday myself. I can't even express how much I admire the people who make such an effort to help another family's children.
