Qualifications for adoption subsidy
Hi MO foster/adopt parents. Question. What are the qualifying criteria for adoption subsidy in Missouri? We adopted from foster care in Texas and our daughter didn't qualify, but based on another ongoing thread, I've gathered that the rules vary quite a bit by state.

The adoption subs that were given by the state of Missouri were cut by the wonderful boy governor that we now have in office. He tried to take away the subsidies that were offered by the state, but many adoptive parents sued the state and the state lost they had to return the cut portions back to the adoptive parents.
But, he is now trying to stop the subsidies for any new adoptions. He currently can not cut the subsidies that fall under title 4e from the feds or he would lose other funding for the state. Last edited by hoagielover : 02-21-2007 at 09:27 PM.
