My husband is searching for his birth family for medical reasons. He was born 9-28-44 and the only thing on the birth certificate that would indicate where he may have been born is the attending physicians information. It is John E. Cavanaugh, D.O. Kansas City Missouri. There is nothing under the hospital section. I understand that some of the unwed mothers homes had their own doctors. His adopted family is McNeill and he was raised in Independence. We also know that the adoption was arranged by a man named Eikenburger (not sure of spelling). If any of these names ring a bell, we would appreciate any information.
