Private Adoption - Where do I start?
My adoption was done privately through an attorney in Missouri. I don't have any court information either. Where do I start to get information.

It is actually for myself. I was born 12/76, in St Louis. I dont have very much info on either birth parent.

Hi....I would contact the county social services or whatever program there is there, and ask them where you can get non-identifying information about your adoption.
That is information you can have about yourself that your parents might have filled out. Some of it has a lot of clues that can help you further, depending on what they wrote. Their names and other identifying info will be whited out. Wish you well.
