born october 1970
I got a name! Been looking for my half-sister. The birthdate, city/state and birth name matches what info i have. i have the name she left the hospital with. any advice on what to do next? i've had conflicting advice. some say to write/call anyone with the same last adoptive name. but some say that will just possibly open up wounds from unexpected relatives. but her name is pretty common, so there is hundreds out there. any advice??
thanks so much for your referral, radiodoll!! Last edited by Brooke1 : 12-13-2005 at 08:02 PM. |

Anyway to narrow down the list of possible names? Have you tried Classmates.com? If you have a city and live close you could search yearbooks at local libraries. How common of a last name and any chance she is married which would lead you to a marriage license search,
Dolores PS my birthson tried calling everyone in the phone book with my maiden little did he know that there were only two other families with my maiden name related to me even though there were over a thousands names in the phone book. Alot of time for no results. |
