Question anyone know of a postman shot in the 1920's?

Finally got non id info......only thing in it that might lead to something is grandfather was a postman shot and killed because the person wanted his mail. Not sure of location, but COULD? be in Kansas or Missouri. I am trying to do searches havent come up with anything yet. Thanks for any info. (The year might be 23, 24, or 25, but again not positive).

check with the newspapers archives at the library. a shooting of a postal employee will certainly be published in the main newspapers. check the kc star that should be in it in kansas or missouri. that is the main newspaper for kc kansas or kc missouri

I've had nice responses from the historical societies in specific counties when I have requested help. Also, some libraries will do a search for you if you are out of state for a small fee. Like 10, 20 dollars or so. This is sometimes good if you feel pretty secure about a region. The universities are also helpful at times. Good Luck. Keep Trying.

My best -
