It was common for Duluth babies to come here for foster care and then be adopted. Most L.S.S. foster homes were (are) loving and caring. We truly love the babies, and grieve when they leave. many of us back in those early years have pictures of the little ones who lived with us, but we were not allowed to send when adopted. It is very difficult to say goodbye, and we always hope for the very best in life for each child. If he ever wants to search, there should be a name in his file of where he was, but not likely an address. I did know some foster parents who did it in the 1960's so if you ever learn a name I may be able to help. There were, however, many homes back then. Thanks for writing....I am sure your husband's foster parents loved him very much.

I have had a wonderful life and hope that someday I may meet my birth mother. I have a mom, but curosity about my history and who this person is has prompted me to register on the adoption registry. I never thought I was in a foster care until signing on to this web site.

Whether we had you or not, I am sure you were loved and well cared for. Even babies we had only a few days we bonded with and truly cared about. I hope you had a good childhood.
