Thank you so much for your findings. I have already seen these. I have thought about her being that Della Mae but that would mean that she gave birth to me after she was married and then chose to give me up, which didn't make sense timewise. And the adoption papers say her name is Mae not Della Mae and I thought those would be completely accurate - being I work in the legal field, that also did not make sense.

I will just keep trying. I am trying to do this without paying a whole lot of money but I suppose in the end that is what I am going to have to do to find anything out. And then Catholic Charities says that after I pay the money, if she chooses not to give me any information or just plain does not want to be found, I am out of luck and money. So that is a little discouraging as well.
