Interstate Adoption
Hello all. Dh and I are stationed in Ga. We're adopting from foster care from another state. We're going through Families First. We've finished all our homestudy visits and we're awaiting the paperwork for our drug test.
At first we had a hard time trying to get an agency to do our homestudy, a lot of agencys wouldn't help because dh is active, but we got lucky with this agency. Dh didn't want to do an international adoption because we're still trying to conceive and international is just way too costly for us.

Wow! That seems odd that you had a hard time finding someone to do the Homestudy just because he's Active Duty. Maybe we're missing something on our end. Glad you found someone to help. Good luck with your adoption!
