Domestic Adoption While Overseas
My husband is in the Air Force and we are stationed in Italy. We are just starting the adoption process. The legal office had minimal help for us. I have been looking online but I haven't found anyone in our situation. Does anyone have any information that may help us?

I'm not in a similar situation, but the "helpful links" part of KMC Adoption Support Group (from the Ramstein/Kaiserslautern Military Community in Germany) may get you started, specifically the link about OK. There is also a "homestudy providers" link and one of the social workers may be able to help you out. We used a non-doctorate female (who works with a non-doctorate male) for our international adoption. Both of them are quite knowledgeable and will also travel to do homestudies - I'm sure others listed would as well.
