Hi, my husband and i have been together for 3 years. My 3 year old son, calls him daddy. He supports us and he has been there for my son since day one. My son's biological father has nothing to do with him. when my son was 1 we had a court hearing and paternity was proven and he was his. nothing ever came after that. i didnt need child support so i just left the issue alone. my son had a father and thats all that matters. Now my husband wants to adopt my son before he gets deployed. He is in the army, and we are currently in florida. The previous court date was in Virginia where my son was born. I guess my question is what do we have to do in order for my husband to legally adopt him. Also, what state would i have to go through to get all of this done. Any help would be great, im not good at this kind of thing.
