Hello,
My husband live in Ga right now due to the fact he is in the army and this is where he will be stationed for 3 yrs. My husband and I have suffered 3 losses. A miscarriage 2001, our daughter Zoie born still 2002 and we lost our son Caden to sids 2004. A really good friend of mine knew how much I wanted a baby and wanted to become a mommy again. She also knew how much of a high risk pregnancy I am. She knew after giving birth and lossing my son how much problems I was and am having with my cycles and trying to conceive. She told me that she wants no more children.(She has 2 boys a 7 yrold and a 8 month old) and asked how I felt about adopting. I told her I loved the ideal but never thought I'd be able too. She told me that she and her hubby would try to conceive a baby while my hubby and I were trying. She told me no matter whom got pregnant first that the baby would be mine and my husbands. Well she and her hubby got pregnant first. We think she is around 2 or 3 months right now. We will find out at our first doctor apt. She and her hubby wants to give us the greatest gift of all. She wants us to adopt thier baby. As she puts it jokenly "Its mine and my husbands baby, she is just carrying him or her for us" Now for my questions... How does this type of adoption work? We won't be able to get our lawyer till November. All we have been told that this type of adoption will take 45 days. But what all do we have to go through? All the birth parents want to do is sgin over there right to us. Can anyone tell me what is all involed in this type of adoption?
