Confused? A Michigan Agency or National agency
We just started our research on adoption. We have gone to 3 local agencies to hear about thier programs. We are confused. We were alos told to go with a National Agency whos has birthmothers from all over the US and not just Michigan. If you have any thoughts ont his please share,,,we would appreciate the advice...Thanks.

See my reply in your more recent post...
Additionally, going with a national agency is not the only way to be shown to potential birthfamilies. Your local Michigan agencies can often help you with situations out of state. Ours did! We matched with our sons birthmother through the internet and our agency did all the facilitating for us with the out of state arrangements! Good Luck! |

Our agency in Michigan also assists with out-of-state adoptions, so it is not necessary to use a national agency. We had a few potential situations that weren't in MI that our agency helped us with, although we ended up with an in-state placement purely by chance.
Many local agencies are happy to help you if you locate a pbmom in another state. And, in my experience, they are often less expensive than the national ones. Good luck and feel free to PM me.
