We are looking into working with the Morning Star Adoption Agency in Southfield. Has anyone had any good or bad experience with this agency? Also, can anyone recommend another agency to check into based on a good experience?

We adopted through Morning Star this June. We had had one failed adoption with another organization out of Maine who totally misled us and then blamed us. We were a bit scarred after that experience but Morning Star was terrific! They were with us every step of the way and answered all our concerns and questions and were completely available to us all the time.

Jan, Heather, and Rose at Morning Star are all very caring wonderful advocates for both the birth mothers and the adoptive parents.

If you would like more specific information, please don't hesitate to email me. I can talk to hours about adoption! Not only did my husband and I adopt a baby, we were both adopted as infants as well.

I posted a positive response about Morning Star, but of course I hit the wrong button and it became a new post...

We are using them for a second time, and we have only good things to say, as do our friends who've also used them. Hope this helps, Stephanie

Thank you for your responses. It helps to hear positive responses. Our adopton attorney referred us to Morning Star, and we had been dealing with them by phone and mail. We finally went in to talk to them in person and we feel very confident now. We spoke to Marilyn, and she put a human face on the process. I pray our experience is as positive as yours have been.
