I600A in Michigan
I was browsing the USCIS website, and I noticed that if you have a case number you can get a status of your case on-line. I sent my I600A in August, and my homestudy in September, but I have never received a case number or any other information from them. Has anyone received a case number from the Michigan office? Just curious if I'm missing something!

I don't think I received anything from them with a number on it, but I am not sure. I have called numerous times and talked with the examiner. I only call if I have a legitimate question as I don't want to waste precious time with "How much longer". My homestudy went in August and I just got approval recently. It took about twelve weeks. They said there is a back log of cases. I would think your approval would be coming soon. I called once for a question about changing countries. At that time they told me I was near the top, but could not tell me exactly where I was.
I don't know what information you are looking for, but if it is about your approval it will most likely come soon. The Michigan examiner is WONDERFUL to work with. I have heard horror stories from people in other states. They really do work hard on our behalf! Hope this helps! |
