New Prospective Parent? Scared?
My husband and I are just beginning to discuss adoption. We might be able to have our own biological child, but have decided that we would rather adopt a child who needs a home. But after some very brief searching, I feel overwhelmed by the need and rather uncertain if I am up to the task. Does anyone else worry about taking a child into their home and not being able to improve their situation? I have little experience with children, and zero experience with special needs children. I couldn't bear the thought of doing more harm than good. I am in Michigan - does anyone have a good starting point for me?
