I agree it should be banned I am an adoptee with 6 kids and 1 autistic and I think we should have the right to know but I live in Quebec.

Closed adoption record ban
I am not sure what this petition is supporting. If it is supporting banning closed adoptions from here on out, I am totally up for it. If it is referring to the records, I am not quite sure what it is supporting. Could someone explain. If it is for supporting banning of closed adoptions, please email me a copy to sign. The petition I referred to in my earlier post is being established to challenge the legal system as it currently stands and attempts to outlaw keeping the records that are currently sealed and open them to the parties involved, namely adoptees. Please go to the website listed and you can view the mission statement of the activist group that is lobbying for the change.

Pretty simple--allow adoptees whose records are sealed the same rights as every other American; the right to information about themselves.
