Red face October 1967 in Texas

I was born in the Houston area in October of 1967 to an unmarried couple of U of H students (story goes). Father from another country, probably Egypt, again this is from not very forthcoming parents! I am now 39 and I have had a stroke, and I have high blood pressure . The stroke left me with epilepsy and I am having seizures that are becoming harder to control. I also have what they believe to be lupus. It is hard to diagnose and some of the tests say yes and the others look like no. Since my birth father was from another country, it would be very nice to know the medical history idigenous to that area! Please help!!!: My adopted name was Layni Kae Pinkston.

Check with the courts in Texas and see if you can petition the courts to open your file. I had a heart attack and then a stroke at 43 and the doctors dx FMD (fibromusuclar dysplasia) thought to be genetic. The courts opened my file so that a) I could let me birth family know of the disease and b) I could get other medical info that would help the doctors in the future.

Kind regards,
Dickons

Thank you for the quick response! When I went to the church that I was adopted through my papers were blacked out, but I guess there are some with a judge. My parents are older and their memories are vague, so they are not helpful at all. Thanks again!
