Medical Emergency

I am trying to find out information about my Dad's birthparents but not sure where to start. It is a medical emergency. He is currently in ICU and has blood clots. The Dr's think that if they can find more info, it will help.

His name is Dwayne Allen Page. Adoptive parents are Betty & Marvin Page. He was born in Wichita, KS at either Wesley or St. Francis hospital on Nov 23, 1951. It was a private adoption that was done by a Dr. His name was Dr. Miller I believe.

If anyone has advice on where to start, I would greatly appreciate it.

Search the Kansas forum for 1951. I just did and there are two matches - worth sending pm's?

I would start by contacting the adoption agency directly. They can usually give you a substantial amount of medical information that would not identify the parties involved. If you explain your situation, I'm sure they would do what they could to help. You may also want to ask for any other information they can release. Sometimes you can find big clues here. This is how I began my search and I was able to find my birthmother.

Try Emergency Medical Locators. Maybe they could help in some way.
