I am looking for my fiance's birthparents. He was born on July 17, 1978 at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He has Type 1 Diabetes. He also has Neuropathy, Heart problems, and Gastroparesis. I am desperate to find his birthparents not only for medical reasons but because he really wants to know who they are. He cries all the time about it because he thinks that they dont care. I know this is not true because we have given our baby up for adoption. But with all of the medical problems going on, he thinks that he may not live long enough to find them. We have an open adoption with our son's parents but we need to also know my fiance's medical history so our son's adoptive parents will know his medical history too. I heard that Deaconess has a search and reunion program but we dont have the money for it. I just hope that his birthparents can find him. Maybe through any adoption boards I can post on.

Okc
I understand and feel for your fiance. I too am a adoptee out of OKC, St. Anthony's Hospital. Born 12-28-1977. But is he sure he was actually adopted from the hospital. I know that St Anthony's used a adoption service that they sent all their babies to at that time. It was downtown somewhere close to the governors house. I have yet to find the name of it just that it is no longer there. I have been diagnosed as pre-diabetic and am also searching for medical history. I will keep you all in my prayers.

I am doing a search for my husband's biological parents and relatives.
He was born on July 17, 1978 in Oklahoma City, OK at Deaconness Hospital Home Department located at 5401 N Portland Ave, OKC 73112. He was placed for adoption. He weighed 6 LBS and 9 OZ. He was born at 10:18 a.m. and was 18 1/2 inches long. He had blonde hair and blue eyes. His biological mother was in dormitory for 34 days. Baby boy was in Nursery care for 3 days, and then in Foster care for 12 days. The birth announcement was in the OKC newspaper on July 18, 1978, listed as baby boy born to Mr and Mrs James Bond on July 17, 1978. Adoption was final on March 9, 1979 by Judge David Winslow at the Tulsa County Courthouse. It looks like the Administrator of Deaconness Home who signed the adoption papers was a Melvin J Spencer? Mrs. Betty Hollingshead was the Director of Home Services for Deaconness Hospital. Roger Pirrong was the State of Oklahoma Registrar of Vital Statistics at the time. The doctor was Dr Joseph Harroz 5300 N Meridian OKC 73112. This was on the 'adoption' birth certificate, signed on July 18, 1978. The nurse's name was also signed as Roger Pirrong. Proof that it was an "updated" birth certificate. There was a letter from the foster parent who had baby after the 3rd day. She said that he sucked his thumb and they were referring to him as "Nicklaus". Parents believed to be called Mr and Mrs James Bond. Mother's rumored maiden name by a nurse at Deaconness in 1996, as T.J. Fly. Travis's name was "Fly boy", or "Baby boy Fly". Descriptions Mother: 5'4", 120 LBS, light brown-blonde hair, blue eyes, fair complexion, Protestant, High School Graduate, English, French, German, and Indian Nationality, No known hereditary diseases, had childhood disease (did not list) and had a slight ulcer at the time. Father (alleged): 5'10", 160 LBS, Dark brown hair, green eyes, medium complexion, High School Graduate, Nationality unknown, Health History unknown, Religion unknown. My husband wants to meet his biological parents and relatives. He is also seeking them because he needs information due to health problems: Diabetes Type 1, Neuropathy, Gastroparesis, and Hypertension. My husband also had ambiguous genitalia when he was born but NONE of the papers listed this. They listed him as being in good health with no abnormalities. Thank you, Crystal Martin (alchemie432@yahoo.com) |
