Abbie's update with the GI

First thing she was "supposed" to have had an MRI done this morning, but when we got there ALL the parking lots were full and folks were lined up to get a spot.

So we around for an hour, round and round the hospital, until it was past her appointment time. So I called her Neuro, and they rescheduled.

But the whole day wasn't shot, because she also had an afternoon appointment withe the Gasto doc. She is getting a G tube and we have to meet with the surgeon March 11th (Happy 27th Anniversary to us), and her surgery will be scheduled.

The Gastro wants it done quick , fast and in a hurry, as Abbie hasn't eatten or drank very much the last few days. So although I'm upset about my baby having surgery, I'm happy that it won't be such a struggle anymore to keep her healthy...make sense?

Lyla & Bremon both are snot fountains And she came home covered in mud from head to new $40 shoes I'm sending a letter to her teacher, and telling her that when she starts buying L's shoes and clothes, she can let her stomp in all the mud puddles she wants too

What a horrid day!!! Sorry about the surgery, that just stinks.

I think you need some wine and chocolate, but I don't have any so you have to have instead.

Hugs.

Did you reserve parking for the next appointment?

Sorry to hear your baby needs surgery. Hope it helps her stay healthier.

Sorry its come to this Lylac. It will be hard watching her go through the surgery, but it is nice when the little stinkers don't want to eat and drink we have another option. There will be days when you are very thankful it is there and there will be days when you wish your baby could live healthfully without it. But know you are making the best decision for her at this time. The tube feeding itself is not hard to handle, with what you've been through becoming the mom of a tube feeder will be easy as can be. Sending lots of hugs your way.

I'm glad the not knowing is over. I hope the G-Tube is exactly what she needs to thrive. Besides the bestest Mommy on the planet. Which she already has.

Lylac -- sorry to hear that she still needs the tube, I know that you (and many of us) were praying that the pediasure would help more.
Also, Happy Anniversary on March 11th, that is Anthony's birthday! He will be 4 -- although he thinks he is already 5 because Marcos turned 5 in January! They are so very competitive!
