Do you remember your former life..
Before all of the doctors visits? L came to us in 2002, and we've had so many appointments. Sometimes it's just right out insane.
I look back on my life before she came. It was alot calmer, predictable. Our lives were pretty much laid out. We could go places on a seconds notice. Nothing to grab, but my shoes and purse. I was good to go! Now, I have to keep a planner in order to know what to do on what days. And check it before scheduling anything else. I have to pack a diaper/snack bag. Lay clothes out the night before, the kids & mine. And be ready to shift gears when a plan, needs to be changed. Comparing the then & now. I'd choose the now, everytime ![]()

The answer is......NO - I don't remember my former life BUT I am with you Lylac, I'd chose now over then too!
![]() I actually have kind of "dropped-out" of my former life. We don't have as many appointments now as we did in the past but when we were going 3-4 x a week to therapy and doc appointments I really couldn't commit to anything else. So I don't volunteer at the school like I used to, and I don't volunteer to watch other people's kids all the time like I used to (too many germs). I basically can't commit to anything because usually something comes up (E is sick or has an appointment or just needs to rest) and I have to cancel. I hate being a flake BUT I am sometimes. It has been harder to have friends because sometimes people just don't understand ("bless their hearts"). I have learned that my true friends are the ones that don't expect too much from me and are perfectley happy to change plans that have been made and just bring lunch over and visit while E naps!
