Looking at Posibility of adopting a Toddler with CP

Any info anyone can provide would be greatly appreeciated. My husband and I have a bio daughter and are looking to adopt another child.

We are curently discussing inquiring about a 2 1/2 year old boy with CP. Any suggested reading, or ideas for questions to ask our worker or even just general knowledge of CP that you are willing to share would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Cara,

Thanks for your response. I guess what I would like to know is, if you were planning to adopt another child with Cerebral Palsy what questions would you ask that would give you a clearer picture of the child.

For example as the mom of an Autistic, if I was considering another child with Autism I would ask wether they have any speech, what types of therapy do they attend are they toilet trained, do they have sleep issues, do they have food and eating issues, are they enrolled in any programs, etc.

I find that parents of children with certain conditions know what questions to ask to get a better understanding of a another child with the same condition. I hope my question makes sense, I feel like I'm babbling :lol
