Hi all,
HF I second (third, whatever) the recommendation - call the pediatrician ASAP! I've never heard of a 7 wk old having a neck and back spasms from "sleeping wrong".

Alli, I hope things are settling down at your place.

Maybe, it's a sign I'm supposed to get off line and get to work - I haven't been able to get my high speed internet to work for 3days! AARGH!

I hope Max is doing better.

HF- I agree it is a lazy diagnosis go get a second opinion.

cnb- missed you, sorry you've been busy.

Sally- I am praying that the wind changes and that you are safe.

My internet has been out and I have been in major withdrawl. Thank goodness it is back.

hola girls,

i have an appointment in the morning with Nathan's pediatrician. we called him at 3 am the other night and he was the one who said to take him to the ER. however, nathan has seemed totally fine other than having a case of the rootie tooties...lol...

i really hope that he's alright. my mom thinks that having all of my guests holding him all day and playing with him (along with the stress of having a houseful of bickering guests) could have caused him to strain his neck. i hope its something very simple like that.

i will let you girls know what he says.

for those of you who breastfed did your little ones tend to have more farts (sorry for the foul wording) and REALLY loud poops? my mother says that my sister and i were not nearly as loud as nathan, however we were formula fed....any thoughts for a new mom!

HF, What are you eating?

I learned very early during breastfeeding that certain things... chocolate, brussel sprouts (sorry, I like them), broccoli, etc. had nasty effects on Johnny's digestive tract!

HF,

What you eat wll have an effect on him. If you eat lots of garlic, beans, broccoli.....that can all cause excess gas. Also, he's a boy, so he's just naturally gross. LOLOL.

oh my goodness.....i eat TONS of broccoli and beans! i'll eliminate them for a few days completely and see if if helps at all.

oh by the way, the doc says Nathan has a cold and that's why his neck has been spasming at night. he's feeling crummy and i'm sure having all of that crazy company didn't help either. so i gave him tylenol at 3 pm and he finally went down for a nap at 4, he was too fussy to even nap before that...my poor little punkin!

HF - If you use Beano you may be able to keep eating the beans, broccoli, etc. I know other nursing moms who say that works.

Nathan is a gorgeous boy.
