I came across this great site in my Genealogy/Adoptee search. It is called People Finders . You can do a people search by name, address, phone number or SSN. In addition, you can conduct background checks and search public records.

Hi...I am new to this board, but I am the host of my internet radio show...first show is tomorrow. HELLO!! I want to help you and other people like you to find their biological families. I am not a doctor or any kind of expert on the subject...I am a regular person just like you with a mission. Yes, I am an adoptee. I don't get any money for this; I truly feel what you about to read may help.

I just started an internet radio show for support for adoptees. It is a LIVE, ON THE AIR SHOW, and people from all over the world listen to internet radio. This type of talk radio is a new and innovative concept and it is spreading like wildfire. I jumped on the opportunity to take advantage of it because I truly feel the more resources you have to voice your feelings the better chances you have to reach your goal.

Like you, I have listed myself here, with the geneology boards and other places where I may have found your postings. I've been searching myself for 15 years. But for many, like you and I, we still need more and I'm hoping my show will be a newer, better outlet to solve our mysteries.

My first internet radio show on adoptees is Sunday, August 19th, 2007 at 5PM EST.

Please join the show (link below) and CALL IN, because I can relate to how you feel, and the show is about supporting you and hopefully to connect to lost loved ones and to find some closure.

There are a lot of FREE people search sites out there if you look hard enough.

I made a list of the ones that I found for free.
Address and phone number searches are usually free. I've never found a site that offers free background checks like someone mentions above (nor do I think that any of these sites should exist, including address searches, but they do). Sometimes these public listing/address listing sites are outdated, but sometimes are helpful.
