ISO Birth Family-Richmond,VA-1959
In search of birth family in Virginia. Born 1959 in a Maternity Home and then adopted from the Children's Home Society. Also,

Kim- I noticed you posted this sometime ago... I just found your posting and had the answer... here ya go!
Brookfield Home for Unwed Mothers... closed about 1974 or so up until 1968 or so... babies were born right at the home. After that either Johnston Willis Hospital or Chappenham Hospital Seton House (this was a Catholic home) based at St. Joseph's Villa.. all babies were born at Richmond Memorial Hospital Evangeline Booth Home and Hospital.. ( sponsered bySalvation Army to some degree) |
