ISO sister born on either July 26th or 29th, 1964 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.(mom thinks it was the 29th) My sister was born with black hair and either blue or green eyes. She was 19-20 inches long and wieghed just over 6 pounds. (mom can't remember how many ounces) My mom was only 14 when she was taken from her home in Wisconsin to the Woodhaven home for unwed mothers in Fort Wayne. She turned 15 while she was there and that is how old she was when my sister was born. My sister's father was only 16 at the time and went to Indiana to sign the papers after the baby was born. Mom was at Woodhaven from March until the end of July, 1964. Woodhaven is closed now and the records were moved to the Crossroads Catholic Charities in South Bend, IN. Mom has contacted someone from CCC and is waiting to recieve papers so that she can register with the State of Indiana just in case my sister is looking for her. I hope registering doesn't take too long. If mom would have had a choice in 1964 she would have never ever put her firstborn up for adoption. She has never forgotten her daughter.
