St. Faith's House 1938
I know it's been a long time since I was born - February 27, 1938. Ms. Parsons was my "godmother", or so I was told. Turns out she was the Director of St. Faiths for many years. Is there anyone on this list that goes back that far? I am wondering if St. John's was the only hospital that girls from St. Faiths went to in the late 30's early 40's? Is St Johns in Yonkers?
I am not on Facebook, so it's rather difficult to venture much beyond the general internet and there doesn't seem to be much information there. Does anyone have any ideas that I might search? Eleanor |

St. Faith's House
I went back through this thread and noticed several questions that I didn't see answered. Has anyone been able to get information from St. John's Hospital? My adoption certificate says I was adopted out of White Plains, but I know that was/is the county seat. Unlike so many, apparently, I was adopted by people in Delaware. I was born Feb. 27, 1938 but didn't move to a "foster" situation in Delaware until April, 1938 and all paperwork was signed by Kathryn Parsons. So, I'm guessing that I never went through any "agency". I never saw my foster paperwork and subsequent adoption paperwork until Sept. 1988, after my adoptive parents had both died. Never able to ask any questions!
