I have found some information out on my adoption. My birth mothers father was a dentist. I know the last name of my birth mother and possible first name - trying to find an obituary for him - if anyone has any suggestions that don't cost a fortune please let me know. I think he practiced in PA or MA - just gets more confusing everyday when I can't find anything on these people. Thanks for any help. Barbara

Any Suggestions
Post on every site you can find, your birth date, and where you were born if you have that info. Do you have any records from your birth. I am a mother who gave up her son, I posted on every site I could find. His birth date and the hospital in which I had him along with the fact I had r.h. neg blood type. He was looking as well, and the time of birth and date and blood type is what gave him the info he needed to find me. It might be the smallest thing that will bring you together. The internet is a wonderful place with alot of avenues. Don't give up for I am sure someone is looking for you as well.
Good luck and God bless you Marilene DeSantis marilene.desantis8@verizon.net i\ |

have you received confirmation of his death? If you have an approximate age that he was at time of your birth use that and do a surname search on the Soc Sec Death Index. You should be able to get a date of death and last known address-possibly even another relative. Then you can use that to narrow down cemetaries and papers where an obit would be listed. Cemetaries very often hold addresses of relatives if they are paying for the upkeep of the site.
Good luck! |

If you were born in 1959, then your grandfather would show up in the 1930 census on ancestry.com. You could use it to find locations and possible ages/spouse name there to find obits for both your grandmother & grandfather. If your mother had an older sibling, hopefully male, they may show up as well. I have access to ancestry if you want to send me what you know. I can help you out.

Have you tried the Dental Boards in both states. Most licensing boards have public records going back years. Cost to obtain info can range.
