? on Massachusetts adoption laws
Not sure if this is the correct forum to ask. I'm looking for info on Massachusetts adoption laws for domestic adoption. Can you do a private adoption, only using an attorney?? What is the waiting period for the papers to be signed after birth?? Once signed is there any waiting period? Thank you in advance for the information.

Speaking from my side of it as a birth mother. There is a 72 hour period before an emom can sign the TPR. There is no revocation in Mass. after that the pap's have a 6 month period for monthly follow up visits before the adoption can be finalized.
