Hi, Karen!! I am a bmom who has a daughter who is now almost 3 years and 4 months old When did she get to be so big and old allready!!! Maybe it is me. Feel free to ask me any questions.

I have always loved Marblehead! I spent a number of years in Beverly and traveling around. A friend of mine took me to Marblehead Lighthose so that I would smile after a really bad day a few years ago. I loved it.

Yes, the view from the lighthouse is lovely, isn't it? I've lived all over the country and there's something about New England for me that makes me know I belong here. I'm definitely a coastal person although I'll hike anywhere!!

DH and I were just in Newburyport a couple of weekends ago for dinner. Do you still live there? We have friends who own a couple of stores there.

I live in a small town near there. Byfield. I am in Newburyport every so often as a friend of mine works there and my Grandmother and I go and have lunch every so often. Especially to Starboard Galley and Michael's Harborside. It is beautiful to eat on the river

Hi Tiffanie. The waiting can feel brutal can't it? We looked at MAPPS when we were deciding what agency to use. They were great, but since they only do a few domestic adoptions each year, we decided to go through another agency. Where are you hoping to adopt from?

I know it's been a while since this thread has been looked at, but I'm new to this forum as well. Live in northcentral Mass. (Leominster), and I am an adoptive father of two girls. Went through MAPP training with my wife in the summer of 2002, received our first daughter in April 2003 and finalized that adoption in September of 2004 (she's 14 now), and our second daughter we met in August of 2005, that adoption was finalized in November of 2006 (she's 10 now).

Looking forward to any and all discussion about adoption.

Matt

We're in Plymouth. We brought our daughter home from China in 3/07. I can't believe how the time has flown!

God bless you! I am a nurse also and would find it very difficult working in a methadone clinic.

From Billerica here, am an adoptee, work as a nurse in geriatrics.

Hi

dpen5,

Se that where I differ,. I could never work with geriatrics, it to me is too heartbreaking to see once young vibrant people failing. After seeing it happen to family members. God bless you.

My job is challening to say the least. Just when I think I have heard every excuse, rationalization and manipulation, up pops and other one and my jaw drops. lol Seriously though, some of these addicts are the most talented intelligent good hearted people once you look beyond the addiction.
