placed in a foster home until April 1970 (foster name

birth mother had completed 10th grade, my birth father
had completed 11th grade at the time of my birth. All
I know is that my mother had brown hair and blue eyes;
my father had black hair and brown eyes. They were
both catholic and may have been italian, irish,

Post non-ID?

I take it you have your non-ID info, which is where the educational and ethnic info came from? Depending on the agency, they may be able to attempt a search for you, although clearly there will be a fee. If Catholic Charities, which was the big player at the time, they do offer those services. If you check out the CC board there are some good posts detailing experiences using their services, both positive and negative, which could help you to decide whether to use them or not.

Other than that, you can petition the courts, and if you have a good medical reason for doing so, I strongly suggest it. I see you've already posted on the registry, which is key, just be sure to update it any time you get more info.

I'd at least consider the search services of the agency (again, assuming they offer them).

Best of luck, and post here or PM me if I can provide any more info for you.

- Matt
