over 50 adoption in maryland
I am 50 and would like to adopt a young Caucasian child (or 2) with my 40 year old husband. (Possibly mixed race, latino/caucasian or asian/caucasian.) Because of my age, I assume that the youngest child will be at least 5 years old, which is fine with me...I'm assuming we'd be considered too old for domestic adoption of an infant. Is this realistic? Would like oldest to be under 10.
Anyway, any suggestions for agencies (domestic or int'l) that could be helpful, would be greatly appreciated. We are exploring all avenues including foster/adopt. Want to do it as quickly as possible due to my age. Thanks very much for your suggestions or advice!
