Maryland Search and Support group
Hi,
I just wanted to pass info on a Maryland search and support group. It is a support and education group for birthparents and adoptees. The meetings are small in number with ample time for each attendee to give and receive meaningful support. Meetings are usually held every other month from 2:00 until 5:30 pm on the third or fourth Sunday, depending on the holiday calendar. Newcomers are always welcome. Please go to: DC METRO BRANCH CONCERNED UNITED BIRTHPARENTS DC Metro CUB Main Page

I missed her, I missed my siblings, I missed the connection, the identity, the ethnic background, the medical history..... I lost something very important in my life for 40 plus years. I am thankful to finally have all that back |

I always thought CUB was for birthparents only. Thank you for posting this info -- I am looking for a support group near me.

Nope... From the CUB website: CUB (Concerned United Birthparents, Inc.) is a non profit organization that began its official existence in October 1976, by Lee Campbell. A small group gathered to provide mutual support for birthparents, men and women who had surrendered children to adoption. CUB membership and purpose have greatly expanded since those early days. CUB continues to evolve each year. CUB members now include birthparents, adoptees, adoptive parents, other adoption affected people and professionals. I've sent you a PM
