Hi KAS, Even though you were adopted from St.Ann's it depends on the agency that handled your adoption as to whether is is open or closed. More than likely you need to find out where you were born,what city and state and also the city and state your adoption was finalized in. I just saw Sr. Josephine the other day and she explained alot to me . Do you know anything about your adoption? Non Id.? Let me know and I'll be glad to head you in the right direction hopefully..

i have tried to call info 411 but they only list the church for st annes infant and maternity home

Hi Katie, I found the phone # for St. Ann's 301-559-5500. Sister Josephine is the administrator there. The address is 4901 Eastern Avenue, Hyattsville, Maryland 20782. (used to be D.C.) I need help a close friend of mine was adopted in Prince Georges County Md. and all she knows is that her real birth name was Janet Dodd and her mother was a teenager at the time of her birth . She heard she was born in st.georges hospital and she was born in 1963. She does not know if the adoption was opened or sealed,but she has been grieving over this alot lately. I don't know if you could help, but i think my mother gave my brother up for adpt in maryland, her name is carol reed, her son's name is john or jonny reed, she told me a story that he died when he was two, but over the yrs the reason for his deaf has chged over and over, i spoke to a aunt and she said my had left the house with the baby and returned three days later w/o him, no word of him again, could they be on your list? I have other info if you need it
